Fall Fundraising Opportunity
Support our School by Supporting our Fundraisers!
Something new for us this year, will be an Online Fundraiser
Every year from our elementary to middle school years, our kids brought home the
"catalogue"
We all knew what that meant!
But, the bottom line is......the Catalogue raises money.
This year, we are teaming with Kathryn Beich who is part of Nestle' Chocolate and their Fall/Christmas cataloguefor a fund raising opportunity that will net Coral Gables High School PTSA
50%
of any sale.
That adds up.
There are none among us that don't need some wrapping paper, small gifts, Christmas candy, a teacher gift, or just something spotted that we might like just for ourselves!
This is an experiment......we've never done it before, but we are taking a chance.
Remember, we are trying to raise money to fund a new sound
system for our Auditorium
We have a goal in mind, but have a journey to travel, from here...to there!

Your PTSA is here to help provide information to you, the parent, and offer what ever help you may need in contacts within the school. We encourage you to attend our PTSA meetings. With a variety of Meeting Themes, we hope to attract a larger interest in attendance. As always, the Principal, or a school Administrator, will be at each meeting providing a Question and Answer segment for any needs you may have.

2007 - 2008 PTSA Board
The Coral Gables High School PTSA extends our deepest condolences to the family of Patrick Peters, our PTSA Vice President, who died last week after a very short battle with an aggressive cancer.
We will miss Pat's dedication and tenacity on behalf of the parents, teachers and students of our school.

PTSA to sell school uniforms!
The Coral Gables
High School PTSA is excited to announce their fundraising project selling the
school uniforms for the 2007-2007 school year! After diligent work to find
the best supplier, design a new logo and begin development of an eStore website,
uniform sales are on the horizon! The uniform policy continues as it
stands from it's implementation last year.

Online orders do need to be picked up during sales dates and times, unless special arrangements have been made.
Uniform sale dates and times are as follows:
Tuesdays: 10:30am to 1pm (during both lunches)
Location: Auditorium lobby
JOIN PTSA
Membership - $10.00 annually. The CGHS PTSA appreciates any donation over and
above annual membership. Any donation money is applied, in full, to PTSA
projects directly benefiting our school!

New Attendance Policy Approved by School Board
The School Board of Miami-Dade County approved a new student attendance policy
in April. One important change is that all student absences will initially
be reported as unexcused until such time as proper documentation is submitted.
Grades and credits will be withheld for excessive unexcused absences (five or
more unexcused absences for a semester course and/or ten or more unexcused
absences for an annual course) pending action by each school's respective
Attendance Review Committee.
